The consensus was emerged at a meeting between Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Rashad Mahmood and Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov in Moscow.
Both sides during meeting reaffirmed the resolve to enhance cooperation between the two armed forces.
Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces on this occasion said the development of constructive relations between Russia and Pakistan is an important factor in ensuring regional stability and international security.
He emphasized that the meetings between Russian and Pakistani defense ministers will be helpful to improve relations between the armed forces of the two countries.
The Russian General lauded the professionalism of Pakistan armed forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
