Pakistan – Iran to enhance cooperation on climate change

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Iran have agreed to increase bilateral cooperation on the issues of climate change.
The understanding reached during a meeting between Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid and Iranian Minister for Environment during the Conference of the Parties (COP-22) in Morocco.

Zahid Hamid informed the Iranian Minister about some of the major policy initiatives taken by Pakistan government to address the climate change issues.
Earlier, Zahid Hamid visited the Pakistani Pavilion and appreciated the efforts of delegation to project the climate change effects in Pakistan, culture and tourism of the country through different colourful pictures.

He said the COP-22 is great opportunity to make the world aware of effects of climate change on Pakistan, Pakistani culture and tourism.
